Early Expressions

This portrait project documents the emotional range of young children through a series of images featuring subjects ages three and under. Rather than directing the children, I photographed their genuine responses as they encountered playful stimuli like bubbles or simply moved through their own moods. I used an on-location studio setup with controlled lighting and a simple backdrop. The resulting portraits showcase a mix of expressions including happy, curious, mad, and bored. The project emphasizes the honesty and unpredictability that define early childhood.
